METRO-WHAT?!?!?

Soooo after a long talk with basically all of my male friends, coworkers and acquantainces.....apparently most males are leaning closer to "metrosexual". They get manicures, eyebrows groomed, hair styled, .....and spend more time in the mirror than a lot of females......and a lot of females are completely fine with this or like it?!?! I'm sorry, and guys don't take offense,.....but WTF!?!? I don't know maybe it's back to the theory that most females are attracted to guys that have charactersistics of their fathers/male guardian.....My Dad was an all the way masculine manly man. Woke up in the morning, brushed his teeth, washed his face, and got dressed. It took him 30 minutes max. to get dressed (hygenic routine and grooming included), and that was putting on a suit. So maybe that's why I just DO NOT comprehend the massive amount of time that it takes guys to get dressed now. I understand that guys want to look good too. I mean I love a well-dressed man as well as the next girl, but is it necessary to contest females in the routine?!?! I mean come on guys! Do you really need to stand in the mirror for 10 minutes and make sure that your hair, shirt, and pants are in exactly the right position? Why are your hands softer than mine? What's even more confusing to me is that most guys take this time/effort to look like they didn't spend any time/effort '____'.  I believe it's a confidence/lack of confidence thing. Or maybe it's all of the well-dressed metrosexuals celebrities i.e. Trey Songz, Neyo, Bentley Fansworth etc ....Hey but maybe it's just me. Maybe this is the norm now and i'm just not with the times. Somebody please explain this to me and set me straight.
